Holy Dreadlocks

Natural dreadlocks with attention to self-care, aftercare, and your personal dreadlock journey

Holi Dreadlocks is the dreadlock work of Esther Priscilla Francis, a professional loctician since 2018 and formerly known as Moonweaver / Maanwever.

Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of guiding many people who chose to embark on the path of natural dreadlocks. Time and again, it became clear that this moment often means more than just the beginning of a new hairstyle.

For many, it is a conscious point of transformation.
A change in appearance, but also an inner movement.
A choice for more naturalness, simplicity, self-expression, and conscious living.

Dreadlocks tell a story. They grow with you, change with you, and require care, attention, and patience. That's why my work is not just about creating or maintaining dreads, but also about guidance, self-care, and aftercare.

Natural dreads with the crochet method

At Holi Dreadlocks, I work with a crochet method, with or without a root tie, depending on what suits your hair, lifestyle, and wishes.

A conscious choice is made for a natural approach, with respect for your own hair structure and the way your dreads will continue to develop.

Extensions with real hair

For extensions, I explicitly choose natural / 100% real hair.

Working without plastic was an important starting point for me from the beginning. That's why I do not use new synthetic extensions as a basis for natural dreadlocks.

I would love to inspire you to think about all kinds of plastic-free options for braiding dreads or for extensions.
If you wish, you can also collect hair yourself, from a hairbrush for example. Do you have your own hair that was once cut off and kept in a ponytail? If it has a certain length, it can also be used to extend your dreads. This way, your own hair gets a place in your dreadlock journey again.

Do you already have a set of wool dreads or a reusable synthetic dread set? I can braid those in for you as a temporary or decorative set.

Self-care & aftercare

Dreadlocks require a different way of dealing with your hair and scalp. That's why at Holi Dreadlocks, you also receive explanations and guidance on care, maintenance, and aftercare.

Attention is paid to:

  • how to care for your dreads after installation or touch-ups
  • what your scalp needs
  • how to deal with itching, tension, or sensitivity
  • when maintenance is needed
  • how to allow your dreads to evolve naturally and healthily

The goal is that you not only leave with beautiful dreads but also with confidence in how to continue with them.

Accessories in the studio

In the studio, you can also purchase accessories to decorate your dreads or hair, such as:

  • wool dreads
  • hair wraps
  • dread beads in metal, wood, or textile
  • shells
  • small decorative elements for the hair

This way, you can further personalize your dreadlocks in a way that suits your style, energy, and story.

For whom?

Holi Dreadlocks is for those who consciously choose natural dreads, with attention to quality, gentleness, aftercare, and a personal approach.

Whether you are at the beginning of your dreadlock journey, want to have your existing dreads retouched, are considering real hair extensions, or want temporary decoration braided in: you are welcome with your hair, your story, and your pace.

Natural dreadlocks are not just a hairstyle choice.
They symbolize a journey you embark on.
