As an artist, there was always a desire to take people into a uniquely idiosyncratic world. A world where images, symbols, sound, silence, body and space together form an experience. During my postgraduate in Performance & Scenography, in 2010–2011, my work already explored ways of meditation, presence and absence.
There arose a fascination for the interaction between spectator and artist, between subject and object, between what is seen and what is palpably present without being immediately visible.
Only later did it become clear that my work at that time was already pushing the boundaries between visible and invisible worlds.
These worlds are not distant or abstract places. They are inextricably intertwined with our own lives. In dreams, symbols, coincidences, body signals, nature, intuition, memories and inner images, they constantly speak to us.
The question is not whether these worlds exist.
The question is how consciously we want and can interact with them.
What messages do we take into this visible world?
What wisdom can help us bring more peace into ourselves and the world around us?
A ceremony as a gateway to awareness
Within my ceremonies and activations, space is created for stillness, inspiration, creative power and inner remembrance. Sometimes through crystals, sometimes through meditation, voice, drum, ritual, visualization, energy or creative imagination. Together, we listen to the wisdom of the animal, plant, and mineral kingdoms, natural elements, and other cosmic light beings.
Every experience is different, but the essence remains the same: a conscious encounter with yourself, your energy, your body, your inner images and the subtle layers of life.
These ceremonies are not meant to take you away from the world, but to be present in your own life with more clarity, gentleness and strength.
